Current features
These features have been put into the game, but may not be finished
- Electronic part replacement and upgrade system
- Persistent ship components, able to be destroyed or upgrade at any time if spare part in inventory
- Fabrication (crafting) of starbase objects and ship parts
- Starbase object construction and removal.
- Space combat, targeting system (target nearest/next objects and hostile categories)
- Mission system with several introduction/tutorial missions
- Directional damage system with resistance and different damage types
- Four shield zones (forward/aft/port/starboard) and hull protection
- Loot chance on all AI enemies using per-enemy weighted loot tables
- Skill bar with auto-fire toggle and tooltips
- Inventory system, tooltips, many sorting options, saves window size/position
- Asteroid mining
- Basic XP and leveling system (effects weapon damage and shields based on level)
- Basic starship customization: ship color, logo
- Player chat with automatic per zone and broadcast commands
- Ability and skill system with few basic examples
- Many options for controls, camera and game settings
- Feedback and bug reporting system (F8) inside game with auto-screenshot
- Custom c# sockets netcode using high-performance binary protocol
